Utada - Merry Christmas Mr. Lawrence ~ FYIUtada - Apple & CinnamonI can't wait for her album. :] Merry Christmas Mr. Lawrence is one of my favorite piano pieces, so I'm glad she did a cover with it! Anyway, I am thoroughly in stress mode seeing as this is midterms week. I actually have an art history written midterm exam tomorrow at 1p. I find it almost funny that I'm sitting here making outlines and "studying" them. I haven't had to study for almost two years. I don't even know what that word means anymore. Other than that, I'm freaking out a little over my Digital Design 2 midterm. My professor wants the class to have the final packaging designs done by next class, and only construct working models of the packages IF we're feeling ambitious. It's not required. HOWEVER. Knowing myself, regardless whether or not it's required, I will probably lose all means of sleep trying to do them anyway. I really should try to take that Packaging Design class, except it's only offered to Graphic Design majors (I'm in New Media/Computer Arts). TO DO LIST: Due Tues English Composition: Narrative Storytelling 3 Peer-edits Art History through the 15th Century Midterm Exam @ 1p <-- I fuckin' aced it. :] Due Wednesday Digital Design 2 20" x 30" poster draft Final packaging designs (all 5) Final branding guide and logo edits (Working packaging models) Due Friday Golden Section/Sacred Geometry Oval construction project Final project proposal Tags: music, school, stress Currently: busy On Repeat: Utada - Merry Christmas Mr. Lawrence ~ FYI

I overestimated myself and took longer than expected on my gelato design project. So, unfortunately, I was only able to get ahold of around 2 hours of sleep, which isn't THAT bad, but I didn't sleep much the previous night either. I've downed 3 cups of coffee so far. Now I am kind of shaking, which btw, is a first for me. I'm so used to caffeine that never has any amount of coffee noticeably affected me. To top that off, I was forced to come to class 40 minutes early because of some transportation issues. Better early than late, but still. GIVE ME BACK MY SLEEP. Oh yaa, in the morning, I stupidly decided to try out this new liquid eyeliner I bought. Bad idea. Let's just say, barely open, burning eyes + liquid? Think about it. After that, I could barely open my eyes at all. Bloodshot, dark circles, and squintyness. Mmm, so attractive this morning. Anyhow, I am still waiting for class. Currently trying my best not to snap at anyone who talks to me. I cannot wait to go home and indulge in some much needed REM. My nose is also very cold. dhsajfhsajkfha. AHH. I got my hands on BoA's new American debut single. The highest quality you can get, yo. Here you go! I'm kind of surprised, I remember her accent being A LOT more apparent in the music video. Maybe it's just cause the sound quality is shit. But yaa, the lyrics need improvement and so does her English, but hey, at least it's catchy! To be honest, I'm not a big fan of her music, but I am a fan of her as a person. She's a pretty cool girl! Anyhow, I'm currently procrastinating from my Digital Design 2 homework, per usual. I'm admit it. I hate designing for print. I just bought 4 ink colors to replace the ones already empty from my last assignment. I nearly out of presentation matte paper, too. My credit card will have another emoattack soon. Other than that, I kind of wonder how long my computer will last with the rate the design industry is advancing. I mean, I'm only making a 16x10.5in magazine spread in Illustrator, and it takes about 5 minutes to SAVE the document. I'm not even exaggerating. I timed it, fyi! I don't even wanna go over how long it takes Photoshop to simply load 300dpi pictures when I'm imaging. In fact, I honestly doubt my computer will be able to handle the CS4 series, that is, assuming that my computer would even allow me to install it. I mean, I've learned to be patient when designing. I often have something else to do while just waiting for something in the document to load, but the problem is time. You'd think a couple minutes here and there might not be a big deal, but it adds up. I end up taking up a whole day to do one design assignment when it could take me half the day. Then again, it could be my computer. I'm planning to do a complete computer clean up during summer vacation, just cause I don't wanna risk my computer exploding during the school year. That would suck. Edit: LOL, this song is hilarious. It's a pretty old Jin song, but wait until you hear the Donald Trump voice recordings. ♥ Cantonese~ Tags: complaints, music, school Currently: optimistic On Repeat: BoA - Eat You Up

So. The most amazing thing happened. Let me summarize. - I've been putting of my Digital Design 2 assignment for the entire week. (designer's dossier: 2-page magazine spread) It is due Wednesday. - I didn't start until Tuesday. Fucked. - Tuesday: Overslept. Raided for 3 hours on WoW. Fucked, again. - Skype with classmate, Rainar. Wasted another hour complaining to each other. - Checked e-mail before shower. Got an e-mail from school... - Teacher is sick, NO CLASS TOMORROW... omgomgomgomgomgomgomg. - The result? A long, pampered shower. Midnight snack. Surfing the internet. - Decided to browse TasteSpotting, and now, I want to DIIIIIE. 3:30am + food gallery. You do the math. Anyway, I can't quite figure out why I have such a terrible craving for Japanese right now, but I've decided to make some spam musubi tomorrow. Hopefully, it'll satisfied my craving. (I'm trying really hard not to buy any food from restaurants and stuff!) It is totally unhealthy, but SO DAMN GOOD. Plus, I haven't had it for a while. Tags: cooking, food, school Currently: cheerful

When I went shopping with Rainar sometime ago, I couldn't really find anything that caught my eye. I rarely shop just because. The way I shop for clothes, I only do it when: - I need more of an item (basics like camis/tees/etc)
- I need varieties of items that I don't already have (like coat styles for different occasions)
- I need a replacement for a worn out item
Usually, when I go to Forever21, I tend to be able to find something that strictly fits the rules above, unless I didn't intend to buy anything in the first place. However, I couldn't really find anything I liked at the time I went with Rainar. At the very end though, I DID end up finding a sweater style that I have wanted for a long time, except I was never able to find the "right one". I finally found it though! I tried it on at the store, and it was perfect! I really liked it! Unfortunately, the one sweater of that particular style that was at the store was an extremely worn-out return. I cleverly copied down the style number, so I was able to find it online. But I cannot, for the life of me, remember what color it was: black or gray. So I've been sitting here trying to decide. Take a peek and help? Other than that, I actually haven't really had an urge to shop lately. That, and I'm also gonna try to save more. Usually, I buy lunch when I'm at work, I've been bringing cooked lunch instead of eating out lately! So I'm quite proud of myself! Anyway, I think I miiiiight start saving up for a new cell phone. I figure it's about time I get a new one. It's an investment that would be worth it since I take it with me everywhere and it's always on. My current cell phone is so ridiculously old. I've had it for years. I don't remember the exact model name, but it looks very similar to this one. I've had it for a few years now, but it's all scratched with the paint chipping off. And the buttons are breaking slowly; I have to press some of them really hard in order for them to work. It also randomly shuts off by itself, so I have to turn it back on. Plus, the sound cuts off a lot. People always hang up on me cause they think I hung up on them. Kind of annoying sometimes, especially when I'm in a rush. But even so, it's been a very reliable phone over the years. Super durable! I was looking at new phones, and I kind of just fully realized how advanced they are now. I know I'll probably sound like a grandma for saying this, but I don't really know how to use the modern "new" cell phones. I mean, I'm sure with some exploring, I would be able to figure it out, but I'm just so used to my very old cell phone. Pretty much all it has is AIM, SMS, a very simple camera, games, and general phone stuff. And to be pretty honest, I am totally not a tech junkie; I'm not interested in any iPhones, PDA-imitations, etc. All I really use my phone for is an occasional SMS, calling, checking the time, calendar, and other general personal organization features. It sometimes overwhelms me when I play with my friends' iPhones and whatnot jammed with so much "stuff"--which I mean to refer to as features. But yaa. Even though a friend just recommended me not to get this phone, I can't help it! I really like it. Really, really do. It has everything I need (and a little extra), and it looks SO DAMN CUTE. I'm not a super cell phone user, I don't text or call much at all, so a lot of what I'm looking for is something cute, yet functional. But can you blame me? Being stuck with a phone like this for years, all the while seeing everyone around me having such sleek, stylish phones starts getting just a liiittle bit depressing after some time. Just a little. All I was able to do to save such an outdated design was to glam it up with interesting cell phone charms. Anyway, I'm still debating whether or not I should actually buy the new phone. I've actually been wanting to get a new cell phone for a while, but I've always held back because it'd be a luxury purchase since my current phone, although a little junky, is technically still functional. I have other, more important things to pay for. (Bills, school supplies/fees, and food! Just the norm!) We'll see how my finances for the next few months look though... I'm trying to build a mini wardrobe for my Book Arts final. So there I was last night, being the most anal person in the world. All of the wooden pieces were all cut out and ready to be painted. But, some of the pieces were 1/32" off. So I HAD to cut them to perfection. I had to. It had to be done. Otherwise, it would bug the hell outta me. But of course, at 2 am, with cold, stiff fingers, tired eyes, and a somewhat broken x-acto knife, my grip on the ruler grew weak, it slipped, and I sliced off a piece of my left index finger. To be more accurate, the piece is still dangling there. It took me a second to realize what the hell just happened before flooding my table with droplets of blood. Good thing my brother was still awake! He took a look at my finger, and all he could say was, "D-d-d-daaaaang." By the time the bleeding came to its climax and I was fully aware of everything, the extreme pain hit. I held pressure to my finger for 20-30 minutes, but the bleeding wouldn't stop. Great, right? So I kinda just sat there a long time at night, applying pressure to the cut. Of course, my right arm was getting sore, and both hands were freezing cold from stopping the blood circulation to my finger. So uncomfortable. So yaa. This will probably slow me down during finals. Sigh. WHY ME. Tags: accidents, ihatemylife Currently: cold On Repeat: Jason Mraz - I'm Yours
